6 miles (10 Km) cold morning - Haiti Relief Run



Finally back running 6 miles with Carlos, Emily and Jennifer. We ran around Central Park in 1.15 hrs at the same time the NYRR were doing the Haiti Relief Run, the park was packed with runners.

We had breakfast in the Deli with Pam, Nina, Amanda, Maruca and Howard. Carolyn and Sam from Bath, England who recently got engaged were invited into the group photo.

A raccoon walked from the park to feed in the trash bin outside the Deli. It took the police and the park rangers to convince him back to the park. It was very amusing watching the police stop the traffic while he crossed back.

The phrase of the day: Master is philosophically Greek!!! by Sarah (a neighbor that hangs out in the Deli).

Coffee with no run...


I'm recovering from a cold and sciatic but went by the Deli and had coffee with Jennifer and Nina as Carlos had just left. We had a good chat with lots of laughs!!!

Still a slow 2010...

The weather and my sciatica are giving me a hard time not allowing meeting the band and enjoy the fun of running all together. Let's hope that by this weekend things get better in all fronts!!!

4 miles (6.4 Km) cold morning

We ran 4 miles with Carlos around the Reservoir in Central Park in 37 minutes.
Howard was in the Deli for breakfast. An exorbitant amount of Russian English teachers came by for breakfast, no comments...

Short 2 mile run - cold morning

We did a short 2 mile run with Carlos around the short loop in Central Park in 15 minutes as he was late and I had to leave immediately. Howard was in the Deli with whom we shared conversation and a cup of coffee.

Corrimos solamente 3.2 km con Carlos alrededor de la vuelta corta en la parte alta del Central Park en 15 minutos debido a que llego tarde y nos teniamos que ir rapidamente. Lo vimos brevemente a Howard en el Deli con quien compartimos una charla con cafe.

2010 Slow Start!!!

We've had a slow start for 2010 so far. Cold weather, injuries and bad health have been derailing our good intentions to keep in shape looking forward to our intended goals for this year. Lets hope that February, the second month of the year, will be more fruitful and allow us to get back on track towards our 2010 intended goals.
